The Mayor of Housing, My-ACE China, has expressed concern over the increasing rate of moral decadence and examination malpractice in schools, warning that the trend is producing graduates who are ill-prepared for the job market.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony of Showers International Christian School, China urged students to uphold integrity and pursue excellence, stressing that individuals with strong moral values are becoming increasingly valuable in today’s society.
He commended the school for its zero-tolerance policy on examination malpractice, describing it as a positive step toward promoting honesty and academic integrity.
Also speaking at the event, the Managing Director of Showers Group, Ekama Emilia Akpan, encouraged parents to lead by example and maintain close relationships with their children to help shape their character.
The Chairman of the school, Engineer Anthony Akpan, reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and character development.
Retired TotalEnergies Executive Director, Engineer Bunmi Obembe, also advised the graduating students to remain disciplined and avoid negative influences as they transition to higher institutions.
