Nwifuru who voted in Izzi Local Government Area, said voters in his ward for instance, contended with several factors such as rain and farm engagements.
The governor said voters were therefore not required to stay at their polling units after voting due to such factors.
He called on governors across the country to ensure the conduct of LGA polls at it was constitutional and the best for the councils.
He described the voting process as peaceful and credible, insisting that the wishes of the electorate must prevail.
Meanwhile, immediate past governor of Ebonyi state and Minister of Works, David Umahi, has lauded governor Francis Nwifuru over the peaceful conduct of the local government elections in the state.
Umahi, who voted at his polling unit in Uburu, expressed the confidence that all the chairmanship and councillorship candidates of his ruling All Progressives Congress would win at the polls.
