Caverton Helicopters: We have permission to fly during Covid-19 lockdown

In a statement, the airline disclosed that at the start of the COVID-19 lockdown, it received a letter from its client stating that it had been given approval and exemption to fly and continue operations.

It also said it got another approval from the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority to fly for the oil and gas sector, adding that it has been flying along the guidelines for the past seven days.

The statement said the pilots were charged and remanded despite pleas by the company’s lawyers, who showed the relevant documents from the Federal Government.

It added that the pilots did not violate any law and appealed to the Federal Government to ask the Rivers State Government to release them.
