British Prime Minister, DAVID CAMERON, is due to appear before the Parliament to promote the benefits for the United Kingdom in a reformed European Union. The BBC reports that CAMERON will outline details of last week’s deal with EU leaders, which paved the way for his call for a referendum on EU membership on 23rd of June. The Prime Minister is of the view that the deal strengthens British sovereignty, as well as a safer and stronger United Kingdom in the regional grouping. The move is facing stiff resistance from some MPs, including the Mayor of London, BORIS JOHNSON whose intervention is considered as a significant blow to Cameron’s campaign to remain in the EU.
