Bauchi students unrest: Police arrest thirty-two suspects.

Trouble started during the election of new executive members of the Students Union Government at the College of Education.

The spokesman of the State Police Command, HARUNA MOHAMMED disclosed in a statement, that the struggle for positions assumed an ethno-religious dimension, which led to the suspension of the SUG election.

But following the postponement, MOHAMMED said some hoodlums from the school and neighbouring community went on rampage and blocked the Bauchi- Gombe Federal Highway, harassing innocent citizens.

He said police patrol teams have been deployed to the area, and normalcy has been restored in the school.
