At least seven United Nations police officers have been ambushed and detained illegally by suspected members of anti-Balaka Christian militia in Central African Republic. The UN spokesperson, STEPHANE DUJARRIC said the international police officers were detained near Boali in the southwest region of Ombella Mpoko. In a separate incident, DUJARRIC said, a UN peacekeeping position in Damara in the same region was attacked by unknown armed men.  He said peacekeepers returned fire killing one assailant and seizing a number of weapons.
