The victims include to volunteers, a nurse, a driver and a veterinary, who were working on an immunization programme of the Veterinary Medical Association in the region.
The abduction comes a day after al-Shabab released four aid worker who were kidnapped while working for the World Health Organization in the south-western town of Luuq.
