MPIGI said he was never invited to respond to any matter before the Commission of Inquiry that purportedly indicted him on allegation of murder.
BARINADA MPIGI’s spokesman, JOSEPH GWEZIA told our correspondent that his principal would not be distracted, just as he urged his supporters and the general public to discountenance the claim by the Rivers State Government.
Also speaking; the APC Campaign Director in Tai, Sir MBAOKPENE OKPE wandered how BARINADA MPIGI could have been involved in an alleged murder that took place about ten kilometers from where he was on the day of the incident.
Speaking further in a telephone interview with our correspondent, MBAOKPENE OKPE said there had never been a time that the APC candidate for House of Representatives rerun was mentioned as a suspect in the alleged murder incident.
The APC Campaign Director in Tai described the action by the Rivers State Government as a calculated attempt to rubbish the image of BARINADA MPIGI because of the advantage he already enjoys in the yet-to-be concluded rerun election for Tai-Eleme-Oyigbo Federal Constituency.
