An engineer working at the Rumuolumeni road construction site in Obio-Akpor and another individual have been abducted by gunmen suspected to be kidnappers. Our correspondent gathered that the abduction happened around Iwofe Waterside in Obio-Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State. A source told our correspondent that the victims were dredging a part of the Iwofe River when the gunmen stormed the scene and took them away. No contact have been established between the kidnappers and the family of the victims. A senior police officer who confirmed the incident to our correspondent said the police are on top of the situation.
