Akwa Ibom, Rivers Police Commissioners Unite Against Crime

The Commissioners of Police in Akwa Ibom and Rivers states have agreed to strengthen collaboration in tackling piracy, kidnapping, cultism and other cross-border crimes affecting both states.

The police chiefs said the partnership will focus on intelligence sharing, joint operations and coordinated security strategies to improve safety along the waterways and border communities.

They noted that criminals often exploit the proximity of both states to evade arrest, stressing that enhanced cooperation will help dismantle criminal networks operating across state boundaries.

The commissioners reaffirmed their commitment to protecting lives and property and urged residents to support security agencies by providing credible and timely information on criminal activities.
