The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Rivers State has distanced itself from one Igwe Sunday Ohahuru, who has been parading himself as the party’s chairman in Ikwerre Local Government Area.
State Chairman of the ADC, Leader Sampson, stated that Ohahuru is neither a registered member of the party nor authorized to speak on its behalf, describing his actions as part of a failed attempt to destabilize the party’s duly constituted structures in the state.
He clarified that Temple Egwenike remains the recognized and authentic chairman of the African Democratic Congress in Ikwerre Local Government, urging party members and the public to disregard any contrary claims.
Leader Sampson further alleged that intelligence available to the party suggests that Ohahuru and his sponsors are planning to obtain questionable court orders aimed at creating political tension and legitimizing what he described as illegality.
