A section of traders at the Trans-Amadi Slaughter in Obio-Akpor Local Government Area have raised alarm over an alleged plan to disrupt activities at the market. The Auditor of the National Butchers Union, LAWAL ABDULAHI warned that crisis could break at the market due to moves by authorities of the Caretaker Administration in Obio-Akpor council. ABDULAHI alleged that plans have been concluded to impose one IBRAHIM MESUNDU as Chairman of the Trans-Amadi Slaughter Market. LAWAL ABDULAHI maintained that the Caretaker Administration in Obio-Akpor Local Government has no right to impose a leadership on the Trans-Amadi Slaughter Market. He called on the relevant agencies to intervene on behalf of traders, warning that any attempt at imposition would not stand. LAWAL ABDULAHI is the Auditor of the National Butchers Union, and operates from the Trans-Amadi Slaughter Market in Port Harcourt.
