President MUHAMMADU BUHARI has continued to engage other world leaders at the ongoing Seventieth Summit of the United Nations General Assembly. The latest report coming from the Nigerian delegation in New York indicates that President BUHARI held a bilateral meeting with President PARK GEUN-HYE of the Republic of Korea. The Nigerian leader also held talks with his Chinese counterpart, XI JINPING, during which he underscored the commitment of the Chinese government to Nigeria’s economic advancement. President BUHARI particularly thanked China for the recent interception of a shipload of crude oil stolen from Nigeria. The Nigerian President also promised to open up investigation into alleged shady dealings in the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation under the past administration. On his part; the Chinese President promised that his country will invest in Nigeria’s oil and gas industry and assist in the development of human resources.
