Another round of meeting of European Union leaders continues in Brussels in a bid to find solution to the migrant crisis in the region

Another round of meeting of European Union leaders continues in Brussels in a bid to find solution to the migrant crisis in the region. A plan to relocate some one hundred and twenty thousand migrants across the continent was approved yesterday, despite Romania, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary voting against the mandatory quota scheme. Today’s emergency summit will focus on tightening EU borders and boosting aid to neighbours of Syria, from where many migrants traveled to Europe.
British Prime Minster DAVID CAMERON held a meeting last night with French President FRANCOIS HOLLANDE to set the stage of what to expect at today’s summit. The BBC quoted a United Kingdom government spokesman saying both leaders agreed that more should be done to return migrants who do not have a genuine claim for asylum. President BARACK OBAMA of the United States has urged all European states to accept their fair share of asylum seekers. OBAMA made the call after talks with German Chancellor ANGELA MERKEL.
