Reacting to last weekend attacks and looting of over thirty shops in Pretoria belonging to foreigners, majority of who are Nigerians, a spokesperson for South Africa’s Foreign Affairs Department, CLAYSON MONYELA, said the attacks were isolated incidents by criminals.
MONYELA said South Africans are not xenophobic and no nationalities were targeted, adding that the residents were clear that they were unhappy about drugs and prostitution.
