The BBC quoted the Korean state news agency reporting that the North Korean leader, KIM JONG-UN supervised the test of the surface-to-surface medium-to-long-range ballistic missile on Sunday.
South Korea’s defence ministry has expressed concern about the development, explaining that the missile reached an altitude of about five hundred and fifty kilometers, while experts suggest the tests were programmed for shorter distances to avoid a missile landing on Japan.
Following the development; the US, Japan and South Korea have called an urgent meeting of the United Nations Security Council to discuss the incident.
