Prime Minister PAOLO GENTILONI said he had reached a deal with Libya on how to stop migrants, which includes proving more funds and training for Libyan officials.
Meanwhile; Italy’s coastguard reported yesterday that more than one thousand, seven hundred and fifty migrants had been rescued in the Mediterranean within twenty-four hours.
This comes as European Union leaders prepare to meet in Malta to discuss how to stem the influx of migrants from North Africa and the Middle East.
