Former CDC Chairman Raises Alarm Over Insecurity in Uegwere Boue

A former Chairman of the Community Development Committee of Uegwere Boue in Khana Local Government Area, Godspower Pynen, has expressed concern over the security situation in the community, alleging persistent attacks, abductions and land-related disputes.

Pynen claimed that three women were recently abducted while returning from their farms and taken to an unknown destination. He further alleged that more than 35 people have lost their lives during the prolonged crisis, which he said has been characterised by attacks, farmland disputes and harassment of women engaged in farming activities.

According to him, the people of Uegwere Boue are not at war with neighbouring Yeghe Community but are facing challenges caused by individuals pursuing personal interests.

Pynen also alleged that Solomon Ndigbara is linked to the insecurity in the area. However, the Youth President of Yeghe Community, Steve Nebelee, dismissed the allegation, describing it as laughable.
