Anambra Election: Labour Party’s Moghalu Blames Vote-Buying for Loss in Polling Unit

The Labour Party candidate in the recently concluded Anambra State governorship election, George Moghalu, has attributed his loss in his polling unit to vote-buying by rival contenders.

In an interview with journalists following the declaration of results, Moghalu said he could not match the amounts offered by other candidates to voters and therefore refused to engage in vote-buying.

He added that many voters in his polling unit gave in to the temptation of cash incentives due to their financial difficulties.
