The former special Adviser to late President MUSA YARADUA on National Assembly matters, FLORENCE ITA GIWA who have been championing the course of the Bakassi people made the appealed on a live television programme monitored from Port Harcourt.

Indigens of Bakassi Peninsula cries out to Govt for Aid
ITA GIWA who is also from the Bakassi region of cross Rivers State said the people of the area has been neglected by the federal government in the face of massive hunger and diseases.
She noted that all the recommendations made by the resettlement committee which was set up by former president GOODLUCK JONATHAN were not implemented.
The former senator also disclosed that she has been calming the youths of the area who have been threatening to take up arms in protest of the alleged neglect.
