Executive Chairman of the Board, Sam Aleruchi-Emejuru, announced this during a courtesy visit from members of the All Nigeria Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCOPPS), Rivers State chapter, at the Board’s headquarters in Port Harcourt, stating that principals assigned to new schools who failed to resume their duties by July 19, 2024, will have their appointments cancelled.
He also emphasized the importance of educational development, asserting that principals must fulfil their responsibilities by providing both teaching and discipline.
Emejuru, further revealed that, despite awareness of a lack of school materials, the Rivers State Governor has approved and provided teaching materials for the schools.
In response, the state president of ANCOPPS, Innocent Umesi, assured the Board of their commitment to working cooperatively to advance education in the state.
