The health ministry said the case involves a 27-year-old pregnant woman in the southern city of Johor Bahru.
The Health Minister said the woman’s husband who works in Singapore had also showed symptoms of the disease and was undergoing tests.
Report has it that Zika infections in pregnant women have been shown to cause microcephaly, which is a severe birth defect in which the head and brain of the infant are undersized besides other brain abnormalities.
