Zambia opposition leader HICHILEMA and deputy, GEOFFREY released from detention

HICHILEMA and his MWAMBA were detained yesterday after they were arrested in relation to an impromptu speech delivered by HICHILEMA on 26th   September in the central city of Mpongwe.

Both men appeared in court today and pleaded not guilty to charges of seditious practices and unlawful assembly.

Their bail was set at two thousand, five hundred dollars each, and the case is expected to continue in court on 19th October.

HICHILEMA is protesting against the result of presidential election in August which he lost to incumbent EDGAR LUNGU.
