Youths from Ogoni extraction in Rivers State are clamoring to be carried along in the move by the Federal Government to commence the implementation of the UNEP Report on the clean-up of oil pollution in the area. An Ogoni youth leader, BORVE PAAGO said there was need for a representative of young people in the Governing Board that would oversee the implementation. PAAGO who is the President Bodo Youth Federation told correspondent CHINEDU IWUNNA that the youths have all it takes, both intellectually and otherwise, to drive the process. He also made case for the engagement of youths by the contractors who will perform the restoration of Ogoni land. BERVO PAAGO commended President MOHAMMADU BUHARI for fulfilling his first promise to Ogoni People, adding that the gesture would give the Ogoni People a sense of belonging in the current administration.
