Governor WIKE spoke when he received in audience, representatives of the Chief of Defense Staff on Exercise Brain Gain Two Campaign, where he acknowledged the improved security in the state because of the joint corporation of the security heads with the Government.
The Secretary to the state government, TAMMY DANAGOGO who received the visitors on behalf of the governor said, the Exercise Brain Gain Two Campaign is a welcomed development which he said will encourage Rivers youths to enroll in the Nigerian Army.
According to a statement from the office of the SSG, Governor WIKE encouraged Rivers youths to take advantage of the Brain Gain sensitization campaign which he said allows students the opportunity to indicate interest in the Nigeria Defense Academy in JAMB registration like they would in any other university.
On his part, the Chief of Defense Staff who was represented by the Director of Civil-Military Operations, Defense Headquarters, Commander J A PINDER said the Brain Gain Campaign was implemented to attract students of Senior Secondary three into the academy and discuss issues on prospects in the military, recruitment process into the armed forces, conditions of service and benefits of a military career.
PINDER disclosed that the campaign team is expected to visit three schools in three geo political zones in Rivers State which including; Birabi Memorial Grammer School, Bori, Community Secondary School Eneka and Nyemoni Grammer School, Abonnema.
