Wike presents over N483bn 2022 budget to RSHA

 

Wike tagged the 2022 budget as the budget of consolidation.

 

The governor gave a breakdown of the appropriation bill with recurrent expenditures being at N 144, 764, 818 977 billion and capital expenditures at 314, 903, 108, 116 billion, N7 billion higher than the 2021 budget. 

 

He also broke down the recurrent expenditures with salaries N77 billion, and monthly pension N15billion, and Gratuity N2 billion.

 

Earlier, Speaker of Rivers State House of Assembly, Ikuiyi Owaji Ibani at plenary approved the motion for the revised 2022 to 2024 medium-term estimated fiscal framework moved by the leader of the house, Martins Amaewhule.

 

The speaker, however, commended the governor for his developmental stride and ensures him of thorough scrutiny of the budget.

 

Meanwhile, the Rivers state House of Assembly has given first reading to the appropriation bill for 2022 fiscal year.
