The Comptroller General of Immigration, MUHAMMAD BABANDEDE made the clarification in reaction to the activities of fraudsters who are deceiving members of the public about job placement in the service.
BABANDEDE warned that anybody making promises to anyone about possible assistance for placement in the Immigration Service is being deceptive and fraudulent.
This was made known in a statement signed by the Assistant Comptroller of Immigration in charge of Public Relations; SUNDAY JAMES.
The statement noted that any offer of employment in the Nigerian Immigration Service is not true and intended to defraud unsuspecting members of the public.
It further disclosed that the Nigerian Immigration Service would always use credible and conventional media to inform the public of any recruitment exercise when the need arises.
