The South East Governors Forum said the rumours being peddled on conventional and social media platforms are nothing but tissues of lies.
The denial was made in a statement released by the Chairman of the South East Governors Forum and Governor of Ebonyi State, DANID UMAHI, in reaction to the threat by a group of Arewa youths for Igbos to relocated from the north.
The South East Governors Forum declared that the lives and property of law-abiding citizens of Igbo extraction are as precious as the lives and property of all Nigerians, irrespective of the region they reside in the country.
The Governors also stressed that the Igbos must be guaranteed and defended against all forms of threat and aggression by the security forces and agencies of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
