Rivers Govt to Commission Projects from June

The Rivers State Government has indicated that several ongoing projects across the state will be commissioned from June this year.

Commissioner for Works, Temple Nwofor, disclosed that most of the projects are about 60 percent completed. He made this known when members of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Rivers State Branch, paid him a visit.

Speaking on the 13.5-kilometre Ngo–Atlantic–Oyorokoto Road, the commissioner said the government is currently reviewing the project. He also appreciated the engineers for the visit and their continued support.

Earlier, Chairman of the Nigerian Society of Engineers in Rivers State, Belema Fubara, said the visit was to identify with the commissioner and support him in delivering on his mandate.

He also informed the commissioner of the association’s forthcoming conference, where he has been selected as the special guest of honour.
