Candidates who participated in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination in Rivers State have expressed general satisfaction with the conduct of the exercise across various centres.
Some of the candidates who spoke shortly after the commencement of the examination said the process was largely seamless, with no technical glitches recorded in the system. They also noted that biometric verification, which has been a challenge in previous years, was handled efficiently this time around.
Despite the smooth process, the candidates raised concerns about the late start of the examination, which they said caused anxiety and prolonged waiting time at the centres.
Meanwhile, some parents who accompanied their wards to the centres expressed dissatisfaction with the timing of the examination. They said the delay disrupted their daily activities and schedules, urging authorities to ensure better time management in future exercises.
