Emohua Chairman Commends JAMB Over CBT Centre, Smooth UTME Exercise

The Chairman of Emohua Local Government Area, Dr. Chidi Llyod, has commended the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board for approving the ICT centre at the council secretariat as one of the Computer-Based Test centres for the UTME.

Dr. Llyod explained that the establishment of the centre was aimed at reducing the stress and financial burden faced by candidates and their parents, particularly those who previously had to travel long distances to write examinations.

He noted that the facility is well-equipped to handle not only UTME but other external examinations, adding that it represents a significant investment in education and digital infrastructure within the local government.

Following reports of a hitch-free examination process, the council chairman praised JAMB for its improved organization and coordination, describing the exercise as a success and encouraging the board to maintain the standard in subsequent examinations.
