The apex Ogoni socio-cultural organisation, KAGOTE, has announced a ₦2 million reward for anyone who provides credible information leading to the identification and arrest of those responsible for the killing of Letam Kiinee.
In a statement, the President of KAGOTE, Lesi Maol, called on security agencies to intensify investigations and ensure that the perpetrators are apprehended and prosecuted. He stressed that the organisation would not tolerate any form of violence, criminality, or bloodshed in any part of Ogoniland.
Maol also appealed to the people of Ogoni to remain calm, law-abiding, and avoid taking the law into their own hands. He extended his condolences to the family, friends, and associates of the late Letam Kiinee, praying that they be granted the strength to bear the loss.
