US authorities investigating the killing of right-wing youth leader Charlie Kirk have released photos of a man being hunted in connection with the attack, as former President Donald Trump paid tribute to him.
Kirk, 31, a prominent Republican figure credited with helping Trump reclaim the presidency last year, was shot while addressing a large crowd at Utah Valley University on Wednesday.
The FBI described the killing as a “targeted event,” deepening political tensions in a nation already unsettled just six months into Trump’s second term.
