US authorities are yet to confirm the planned ban, but two firms that operate tours for American citizens have notified their clients of the impending restriction.

This move may not be unconnected with the death of a US student OTTO WARMBIER who was arrested and jailed for fifteen years in North Korea.

WARMBIER was returned home to the US in a coma last month after contracting botulism and he died a week after.

Botulism is a rare and potentially fatal illness caused by a toxin produced by the bacterium, which begins with weakness, trouble seeing, feeling of tiredness, and difficulty in speaking.
