This follows an agreement reached between the University of Port Harcourt branch of the Association of Resident Doctors and the hospital management.
The branch Public Relations Officer of the Association of Resident doctors MBANASO CHUKWUZO during a media briefing said the decision follows the intervention of the House of Representatives through the house committee on health for Tertiary Institutions.
CHUKWUZO while directing all Resident Doctors to resume work by eight am tomorrow noted that several agreements have been reached in the past but expressed hope that the management will implement the present agreement.
On his part, the Chief Medical Director of the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital Professor AARON OJULE said the institution has come out of the crisis stronger than it was.
OJULE also stressed the hospital management’s commitment to effective health care delivery to the public.
The CMD also announced the likelihood of an increase in the cost of healthcare services to enable it fund it’s activities.
He expressed gratitude to those who facilitated the resolution of the impasse.
