Reports say the controversial academic; STELLA NYANZI is being accused of cyber harassment and computer misuse.
The charges are based on NYANZI’s Facebook posts in which she said the First Lady was no mother to the nation if she cared nothing for poor Ugandan girls who missed school or dropped out for lack of sanitary pads.
NYANZI said she was compelled to speak out in commemoration of Women’s Month because of what she described as the shamelessness with which JANET MUSEVENI declared in the House of Parliament that the Ugandan government lacked money to provide poor girls with sanitary pads so that they can attend school during their menstruation.
It may interest you to note that the Ugandan First Lady is also the country’s Minister of Education, and is commonly referred to as “Mama” in the governing party and government circles.
