The Spokesman of Rivers State Police Command, Grace Iringe-Koko, in a statement, said the suspect allegedly took the victim to Lagos State on 5th February 2023 for prostitution.
SP Iringe-Koko said investigation revealed that the suspect conspired with one Blessing Christopher to send girls to one Christabel Christopher, who is into prostitution in Lagos State.
The statement revealed that two sixteen-year-old victims,Tari Paul, and Blessings Temple,earlier trafficked to Lagos by the suspect, have been rescued by detectives and are helping with the investigation.
In another development, the police in Rivers State has arrested four women around Afam, in Oyigbo Local Government Area for allegedly kidnapping and trafficking a four-year old child, Unique Tan-Timitoms.
The police said the suspects, Victoria Okon, Jessica Ndifreke, Charity Samuel, and Chinaza Daniel, were arrested while trying to move the boy to Aba, in Abia State.
The statement said Victoria Okon, who is known to the victim, lured him to the other three suspects.
Meanwhile, the victim has been reunited with his parents, but the Command used the opportunity to admonish residents of Rivers State to be cautious of exposing their children to neighbours and friends they do not truly know.
