President ERDOGAN made the threat while reacting to a non-binding resolution approved by the European Parliament, demanding that the union freeze membership negotiations with Turkey.
The decision by the EU Parliament is in response to what it described as the Turkish government’s heavy-handed crackdown following a failed coup in July.
The EU had struck a deal earlier this year to return migrants to Turkey in exchange for a package, which include aid for refugees and accelerated membership talks.
