They leadership of T.R.I also faulted Governor WIKE for alleging that they were been sponsored by the Transportation Minister, CHIBUIKE ROTIMI AMAECHI to cause mayhem in the state.
In a statement jointly authorized by the President-General LUCKY OMEKA and the Publicity Secretary, GIFT OKPARA; the True Rivers Initiatives slammed Governor WIKE for indulging in what it described as incorrigible lies.
The pro-APC group in Rivers State recalled that it inaugurated its national officers last Sunday in Port Harcourt, ahead of the 2019 general elections.
The group described Governor WIKE’s comments as laughable and a part of his style of diverting public attention from his abysmal performance in office over the past two years in office.
The True Rivers Initiative wondered why Governor WIKE takes pride in raising false alarm about issues concerning the All Progressive Congress and the Minister of Transportation.
The group called on Nigerians and Rivers people in particular to ignore the governor’s comments, which it said was frivolous and deceitful.
The statement further noted that the True Rivers Initiative is not a cult group and do not have any link with any cult or cult-related group in any part of the world.
It said members of T.R.I are law-abiding citizens who are loyal to the All progressive Congress, and are committed to mobilize support for the party and its candidates ahead of the 2019 general election.
The group also said it has pledged its support and loyalty to former Governor and Minister of Transportation, ROTIMI AMAECHI as the leader of the APC in Rivers State and the South-South Geopolitical Zone.
