The traders who were sacked from the market extension at the former Obi-Wali Cultural Center are also demanding compensation from the government for the demolition and destruction of their goods.
The respondents said it has not been easy with members of their families since the fire incident that forced them to the temporary stalls which have also been demolished.
The Chairman of the Mile One Traders Association, KENNETH EZE also challenged Governor NYESOM WIKE to immediately award the contract for the second phase of reconstruction of the market that was gutted by fire in December, 2013.
EZE also disclosed that two of their members have died as a result of the shock of the demolition, while several others are in hospital.
