President Bola Tinubu has assured Nigerians that his administration is making significant progress in infrastructure development, describing improved mobility as a key driver of productivity and economic growth.
Represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima at the flag-off of the Dikwa-Gamboru Road project in Borno State, the President said the Federal Government remains committed to rehabilitating roads that connect communities, markets and agricultural hubs to enhance economic activities and facilitate the movement of people and goods.
Shettima said the administration’s infrastructure agenda extends beyond road construction, with investments also being made in rail transport, aviation and inland waterways to reduce pressure on highways and improve connectivity across the country.
He added that the government’s objective is to provide Nigerians with safer and more efficient transportation options while laying a solid foundation for sustainable economic growth and national development.
