The group’s reaction follows the recent attacks on three Khana communities where several deaths were recorded.
In a statement issued by its leader, Doctor BENNETT BIRABI and the Secretary, Doctor DESMOND NBETE the group described the incidents as direct attacks on the sustainable livelihood and the corporate existence of Ogoni people.
The group also claimed that there is available evidence indicating that the attacks are orchestrated by invaders who it said are planning to systematically control their territory for pecuniary interests.
The statement also called on youths of Ogoni to desist from making themselves available as destructive mercenaries and manipulative forces of external agents, while pleading with both traditional and political leaders in Ogoni to work with law enforcement agencies to restore peace.
