IBRAHIM MAGU made this observation when he paid a visit to the headquarters of the Nigerian Navy in Abuja.
The EFCC Chairman said except Nigerians resolve collectively to shun corruption in all forms, there would be no future for the youths.
He observed that government officials continue to dip into Federal, State and Local Government allocations through deliberate acts of misappropriation.
The anti-graft czar noted that if at least fifty percent of allocations to the three tiers of government are judiciously put to use, Nigeria would be far above where it is presently.
IBRAHIM MAGU further said he decided to visit the naval headquarters in furtherance of the inter-agency collaboration initiated by the EFCC to sustain the fight against corruption.
MAGU appealed to the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral IBOK-ETE IBAS to help mobilize women in the Nigerian Navy to participate in the launch of the ‘Women Against Corruption” programme initiated by the wife of Nigeria’s President, AISHA BUHARI.
Ahead of the flag-off on 7th December, the Chief of Naval Staff promised to do as requested, just as he agreed with the EFCC Chairman on the position that corruption helps to promote insecurity and underdevelopment.
