The whereabouts of seven persons who were abducted last Saturday by unknown gunmen at Agba-Ndele community in Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State remain unknown.Our correspondent gathered that the kidnapped victims, including three men and four women, were taken away through a river in the community.A source closed to the community who confirmed the development to our correspondent, suggested that the number of kidnapped person could be more, as some persons have been reported missing from the community.It was also revealed that a young man identified as twenty-six-year-old two hundred level student of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education was shot dead at Agba-Ndele after he tried to stop the kidnappers from abducting his elder brother.A senior police officer attached to the Anti-Kidnapping Unit in Emohua Local Government Area said the received the report of kidnapping late, but assured that investigations have commenced to track down the criminals.
