The United States Centre for Strategic Counterterrorism Communications has pledged commitment to support the Centre for Crisis Communication in Nigeria towards realizing its goals. The promise was made by officials of the US-based agency during a visit to the CCC in Nigeria.
The Deputy Coordinator, Partnership Engagement and Outreach of the US Centre, STEVIE HAMILTON, expressed satisfaction with the level of professionalism, commitment and diligence of staff of the Nigeria’s Centre. HAMILTON said the US Centre would provide necessary technical support to assist the CCC in Nigeria to grow. He said the whole idea is to find a common ground towards realizing the objective of the center and to serve humanity.
Earlier in his welcome remarks, the Executive Secretary of the Centre for Crisis Communication in Nigeria, Air Commodore YUSUF ANAS said the Centre was established in response to the need to fill an existing gap in crisis communication in the country. ANAS said the center is actively involved in collecting, collating, processing, harmonizing and disseminating information on any crisis or potential crisis situation in Nigeria. He said the objective is to provide credible and professional crisis communication to the general public. Details of the interaction between the visitors and the host officials was contained in a report syndicated through online-based Press Release Nigeria.
