The prosecuting counsel of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission also presented more witnesses in a bid to prove its case of alleged seven-count charge against METUH.The PDP image-maker is alleged to have benefited to the tune of four hundred million naira from the so-called ‘Armsgate’ scandal allegedly disbursed through the office of former National Security Adviser, retired Colonel SAMBO DASUKI.Testifying before Justice OKON ABANG, an EFCC detective, JUNAID SA’ID said METUH had retained fifty million naira from the money allegedly given to him for his personal use.The EFCC detective claimed that OLISA METUH used the money to buy property at the highbrow Banana Island in Lagos.JUNAID SA’ID also narrated how OLISA METUH purportedly tore his written statement to the EFCC when he was asked to endorse it.He said pieces of the torn sheets were recovered from the accused person and registered as exhibit.JUNAID SA’ID appeared as the eighth prosecution witness to testify against the PDP National Publicity Secretary.OLISA METUH is also facing a two-count charge of criminal destruction of property and evidence of the EFCC, for which he was granted bail in the sum of three hundred million naira and two sureties in like sum.
