The Speaker of the House of Representatives, YAKUBU DOGARA, has inaugurated members of the ninety-six standing committees of the House. The ceremony was however boycotted by aggrieved members of the ruling All Progressives Congress led by the Majority Leader, FEMI GBAJABIAMILA, who felt the Speaker gave too much of the so-called juicy slots to members of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party. A spokesman for the aggrieved APC members, MUSA ADAR from Sokoto State accused the Speaker of working under cover for the PDP. During the inauguration ceremony, the Speaker challenged the chairmen and members to immediately get to work. YAKUBU DOGARA dismissed the claims of juicy committees, stressing that every committee is important and contribute to the work of the legislature.
