The senate took the decision after the bill was presented during Tuesday’ plenary.
The amendment gives legal backing the establishment of the campus of the Nigerian law school in Port Harcourt, Rivers state.
Reacting to this, the senator representing Rivers east senatorial district and the leader of the Rivers state caucus in the national assembly, Senator George Sekibo congratulated the Rivers state Governor, Nyesom Wike for the feat.
He also congratulated members of the national assembly from Rivers state for standing by the truth to establish the best campus of the law school in Port Harcourt.
