The royal stool of Alesa community in Eleme Local Government Area has become a subject of controversy.
This is because a group of persons are claiming to have removed Chief EMPEROR J.D NKPE as the paramount ruler of the community.
The land priest of the Alesa community OBELE OSAROKUTE who spoke to our correspondent, alleged that the stool is now in his custody, pending the selection of a new king.However; the Spokesman for Alesa community council of chiefs, Chief OBAREKE WHITE has dismissed the report of the removal of Chief J.D NKPE as the king.WHITE told our correspondent that Chief NKPE remains the paramount ruler of Alesa community, stressing that the staff of office is still in his palace.
