The Rivers State Police Command has given account of its operations over the last twelve months, which comes with the recovery of more than five thousand assorted firearms.During the period, the police also recovered more than eleven thousand different kinds of ammunition, as well as a rocket propeller.The Police Public Relations Officer, AHMAD MUHAMMAD, made the disclosure during a media briefing at the State Police Command headquarters in Port Harcourt. MUHAMMAD, who is a Deputy Superintendent of Police, also said more than six hundred suspects were arrested for different crimes across the state. The spokesman of the Rivers State Police Command appealed to the general public to continue to assist the police with useful information on criminal activities.Correspondent VICTOR EZEAMA reports that the Rivers State Police Command also unveiled a new uniform for officers of the Anti-Robbery Squad.
